(dreaming) devil

The dark storm is on the rise with rolling cloud of midnight grey framed by the night. Deep in the clouds unseen lightning flashes making the clouds glow faintly in the distance for a brief second then leaving their inverse image one my sensitive eyes. A deep rumble followed by a distance crack is the thunder that follows later after each flash. From the grass and dirt comes the slow thud of each drop hitting the earth soil. The sound of the coming rain builds slowly getting louder and louder. I look to the sky and notice that I am in a natural alcove of rock that is just deep enough to hold me. It it then when I see that I'm out of the rain that it comes down in full force. I am trapped like a traveler on the road in the country. There are no signs of a road, town or village. I lean back resting against the stone and listen to the falling rain and it is like music.

My eyes darken as the flashing of lightning gives paused and the thunder dies. I am left in the darkness to my thoughts and the sound of rain falling in fat pregnant drops. It is then I pick up on a new sound and it is the rustle of leaves from faint breeze and rain. Then, like a whisper from far off, the sounds of horse hooves on in the wet ground. From the sound of it I some how pick up that it is a heavy stead with a rider. In the blackness I go quiet and still after leaning back as far as I can in to the small shelter of an alcove I have found myself in.

The horse is coming closer from the side as if passing by rather than coming in strait from the sound of the hooves. Then, when it sound right in front of me about fifty paces it stops. There is a nicker in the blackness from the horse and from that I again know it is a heavy stead. Then there is another flick of distant lightning. For a moment I see it. There is a black stead. A heavy war horse with large hooves and a huge build. The horse is all black and parts of it's flesh are ripped away. Rotting guts hanging from the exposed rib cage. The undead, as it must be, stead's eyes are rotted out and missing and from the sockets squirm maggots.

Riding this beast of a horse is some dark figure clocked in the black of midnight. The glint of a steel bastard sword can be seen in a skeletal hand, the only part of the rider to be seen. Hanging behind the rider is a muddy burlap sack with roundish items inside. The blood mixed in with the mud on the sack makes me guess there are heads inside.

But that second of light from the lightning has passed and I'm thrust back into the pitch black night with the sound of rain. Nothing. I don't know what is going on but I hear no movement at all. I dare not even breathe for the life of me. Then there is another flash even further way and the figure is a faint silhouette now facing in my direction. That as well last only as long as the lightning itself. I start to feel warm all over once darkness surrounds me again. The warmth is from the splatter of rain. As always rain in my dreams is warm like that of a shower rather than being cold.

Under the cover of the darkness I breathe quietly and place my hand down on the hilt of a sword at my hip. I grip at it ready to pull the blade from the scabbard and it is right then I hear the undead horse take a heavy step. Then it takes another followed by another. Finally it starts to walk on in its heavy gate in the direction it was going before it stopped. In the darkness I am left with a thought of hope that the rider never dismounted. If it had it was very silent.
(dreaming) the camera

I am coming out of some store like a Target or a Best Buy with a new purchase of a digital camera. It is a good digital camera with all of the features I would want. I'm excited about the purchase and I want to rip the box open. I'm also nervous because it must of cost a lot of money. For the life of me I can't remember the cost at all or even buying it. Exiting the shop it is night time and dark all around.

Passing by the glow and buzz of an older vending machine I feel thirsty and want to get a drink. I put my coins into the machine and nothing comes out save for a previously opened bottle that is only half full. No way I'm drinking that! Pissed off I push the round "Coke" button several times, as if to get my revenge. Pushing it would not hurt it, however I push away. But then I hear the sound of a bottle dropping down inside the machine. Reaching down and into the machine I find two new cold Cokes! Score! Then for some reason I peal back the machine and look into it. Inside it is like an empty refrigerator, but dirty with sticky old leaked soda. Being gross I continue walking to leave the store.

As I walk I look in my bag at my camera. I'm still so excited to see it! I want to play with it. Looking up and where I am going I see that it is still night and I am entering a tunnel where cars are driving into it. It is a freeway tunnel, but has a sidewalk as well. Then ahead I see the flashing red lights of some emergency vehicle. Being all red I assume it to be a fire truck or ambulance. Glancing to my side I hear narration, which is odd for my dreams so it stands out, saying, "It's the worlds smallest fire fighters." This is said in a plain male voice. Not only I but everyone glances at the ankle high VW bug fire truck. I take it everyone else heard the narrator as well. Exiting the Bug are clowns who grow and morph into normal fire fighters running for the lights.

I get out my new digital camera and in dream warped reality it is read to use. I don't want to take a picture of hurt people so I exit the tunnel into the night, storm clouds on the raise and building. Looking back I know nothing is as simple as just whipping out the camera. But the camera is just a simple lame digital camera, not the fancy one I had bought. To make matters more ironic there is a lady taking pictures in the storm with the lightning. She is using a Nikon D2x digital camera. (drool - top of the line - drool) and using a model. She is taking pictures of her model right as the lightning flashes and making very cool surreal images.

reprinted from my "midsummertiger's lair" uber-secret mini blog

(dreaming) Sleep with the Tiger

It is night and I'm a sleep. I wake feeling something and it is large and furry. Not thinking twice I scritch behind it's ear and hold onto it. When I wake I find that I've been sleeping cuddled up to a tiger. Such an odd dream, must be playing too much neopets. Where is my kougra?

(awake) Interview from Lila

1) You see a taco on La Cienega Blvd, looking sad. How do you cheer it up?
I pick up the taco, dust it off of course. I take it to the zoo to cheer it up. I'd make the taco feel loved enough until it comes out of it's shell, so to speak. While it is happy I take some pictures of the taco. Once I get home I'd post the pictures of the taco to all the naughty taco porn sites to make money and sell the taco into prostitution on eBay.

2) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I'd live with Grace. Money not being an option I would live, for a time, in Hawaii, Germany, Japan, Australia, and England. After that I'd pick a favorite place. If I had to just pick a place and that would be it, I'd move to Midsummer. ;) Seems like a nice place.

3) Look outside. What colour is the sky? I can't see the sky. There are a lot of clouds covering it up right now. That said I'm sure it must be purple or something. ;) LOL! No, really. I just can't see the sky right now. I wonder if it is going to rain? You know I hear on Mars the sky is brown. I don't know if I could live where the sky reminds me of dookie.. well out here in LA it looks like that as it is so maybe after all I could.

4) Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
In ten years I see myself as DAMN old! I'll be 43 years old for crying out loud! Come to think of it, I'm damn old as it is. Man this is so depressing. When am I allowed to do my mid-life crisis thing? Anyway... I hope I have a job in 10 years. I hope to be happy and married to Grace. Maybe there will be little baby pooka running barefoot in the house causing problems.

5) If you won the lottery, what would you do with the winnings?
I won already. I won $1 and I used it to get another ticket and lost. Doh! Oh well. Lets just pretend I won some ungodly amount of $$. First thing I would do is buy a Nikon D2h camera!!! Woooo! I might also a new ride and some bling bling. Then I'd have to get it going on for my hommies out in the 760 (former 909). You know, help them get their props. Then I might hire someone to help me type normal and stop trying to sound like a "Playah". ;)

(dreaming) The Stone Table

In the woods I walk and the light gets darker and darker. The trees loom hauntingly over me like hands of a skeleton ready to grab me. Purple and green lights from some where up-light the trees making them seem bigger than they are. There is a silver shaft of light ahead and I am walking towards it slowly. Bushes and shrubs are in the ways and I have to push past them to go further to the light.
Pushing past the last set of bushes I find myself in a circle shaped clearing. The grasses in my dreams are normally short, but here in the clearing the grass is up to my hip and flowing with the wind. As I look up from the grass I see a stone table buch like that in the C.S. Lewis books about Narnia. Here the stone table is whole and on it is a pure white unicorn tied up. This just isn't right to do so I rush forward and draw out a dagger. I cut free the ropes and bindings and pat the unicorn which inturn gets up and runs off into the woods.
After freeing the unicorn I turn to leave and see massive blue eyes in the forest looking at me. These are mean deadly eyes. Eyes to be feared.

It is raining and raining hard. I'm at the top of Lave Avenue and Loma Alta Drive which is in the foothills and offers, normally, a great view. The sky is a dark steel gray and the rain clouds hang low, almost fog-like, to the ground. Normal for my dreams the rain is warm and comfortable and is falling freely on me as I walk on the sidewalk down the hill. As a kid this is the same route I would take to get home from school in elementary school. There must have been recent work done on the side of the street because, under the flowing water, the asphalt is fresh and tar black in color. Leaves flow down the street with the water and I notice that it is picking up, growing faster. It is then that I notice I have my umbrella and I look up at it. This brown umbrella is nice, but with the rain being warm there is no need. Also it blocks out the view of the storm. So I close the umbrella and hang it on the loop on my backpack so I won't have to hold it. It flops about as I walk, but it is better than having to hold something. It is then that I enjoy the feeling of the warm rain drop with are fat and falling hard. I look around, squinting with the rain in my face, to see the red leaves on the trees and the green of grass in peoples lawns. I take in a deep breath and there is the scent of pine in the air with is rather pleasing. You don't often get to smell the trees in Los Angeles due to the smog. So I enjoy this fully while I can.

(dreaming) Ouch!

I hear a coughing and it jars me into reality. The reality of the dream that is; however at the time I thought it was reality. (It really is true that "reality" is what the mind makes it.)
::song change:: One Hot Minute - Red Hot Chile Peppers
I get up and head into the living room and look around. That is when I notice that Percy, my cat, is choking on something. I head over to him by the door when I notice that he is not choking at all. He has a rotisserie skewer going in his chest and out his back. The choking is really gasps for air with pierced lungs.
::song change:: Master and Slave - Cherry Poppin' Daddies
It is that sick sinking feeling that I remember the most. Like life coming to an end.. the world ending as the earth and universe stop spinning and come to rest.. and ice over. I can't move. I can't help. I myself and helpless.
Helpless and standing there life goes into a blur and I'm laying on my back. Looking up and unable to move I see that I am the one with a large metal rotisserie skewer poking up out of my chest. That ice world turns to flame in my chest. The undying fire....
::song change:: Are you going to be my Girl - Jet
is in my chest burning as I can't breath. I gasp.. nothing. The fire in my chest may seem undying but my light is fading fast and I die slowly and the world around me is a blur of black and white. We like to think that we go to the light but as I die everything goes black.. blacker.. pitch black... then knowing I am gone the fire is gone and I feel nothing. It is a void of everything. There is no sound, smell, sounds, feeling.. nothing. I'm not even thinking. It is just blackness. Then after a minute the void goes a deep purple blue. It is not uniform color but there is shape and form in this deep color. Then the form takes shape more and more... This is it.. Is it the Summerland or Purgatory? Heaven or Hell?
I'll never know until I get there because the alarm sound waking me up.

(Dreaming) Games We Play?

I actually had a dream I was running a table top game. Yeah, pretty nerdy to have a dream about a role-playing game. We were playing "Dungeons and Dragons" and I was running a game in the good ol' Forgotten Realms world. I won't bore you with dice rolls and things, but it was fun. To bad I lost ALL my RPG stuff in the fire and I hate dreaming about stuff I lost. It's just depressing to think about.

(Dreaming) Bathroom

I'm looking at a bathroom and it is just.. ugly. Everything is just wrong. Getting some paper I start to draw a nice layout for the bathroom and as I draw, my thoughts make the bathroom change around me. With this sort of feed back I'm able to keep at the bathroom until it is perfect. Afterwards I test it out be slipping into a nice bath with waterjets that I had added.

(awake) Online Palm Reading

Intellectual matters are probably important to you, and you have a natural ability to express yourself well. ( Often way too well. I can express myself to a fault)

You may have trouble concentrating or focusing your attention, especially under stress. (Doesn't everyone? Anyway it is true.)

At times, you may tend to be overly sensitive to criticism. You can be excessively cautious or narrow in your outlook unless you receive the right kind of encouragement. (What do you mean sensitive!! #$%#... Ok.. yeah it's true.)

You have so many interests that you may have trouble deciding which ones to pursue. (Not really. I like few things but what I like I really want to do. I want to go take pictures.)

There may be times in your life when you give in to feelings of sadness or depression. (Don't we all? It is like saying there are times that you have moments of sleep in life.)

One possible character flaw is a tendency to be inconsistent or untrustworthy. You may have to work to develop more consideration and cooperation. (Bwahahah!!! I'm ebil!! Yeah!)

There are inconsistencies in your energy level, possibly triggered by external factors or emotional changes. No matter what circumstances come your way, you have a generally positive attitude which may help you overcome life's obstacles. (I'm happy! Yeah! Wait, am I?)

You have a great deal of ambition in life, and the energy to make your dreams come true. You often feel highly energized, enhancing your ability to favorably impress friends and associates. (I can only hope this is true)

Your optimistic outlook helps increase your problem-solving capabilities. (I can only hope)

You have a basically strong constitution, and should enjoy good health most of the time. (This must be why I seldom get sick with the flu)

The most productive time in your life will probably occur in middle age. (I hope not just then!)

No matter what other factors influence your personality, there is an under lying sense of practicality that you can draw on if you wish.
(Dreaming) Donuts

I had a dream I was in Hawaii and I went to Wenchell's Donuts to pick up two dozen donuts. Now I don't know if they have Wenchell's in Hawaii or not, but it's a dream ok?
Anyway the odd part of the dream is the complexity of the task to put together two dozen random donuts. There where trains, forklifts, hugh giant industrial gears and things one might be lucky to find in an Steel Factory, not a small Wenchell's. But the special effects in the dream were really good when each donut being placed into its box started to sing and dance a song about what flavor they are. I wish I had perfect memory so that I'd remember these little donut songs. But then they could have said anything and it would seem cool in a dream right?
Anyway I get the donuts, finally, and hour later and they come to $7.34 for two dozen. Odd that I should remember the exact price. Maybe we should all sorta keep and eye out for 734 correlation's. But is takes just as long to get the change. The young man is very cute and reminds me of Mouse, but with black hair and a little short. hehe.. He comes out wearing a giant Afro wig to give my change then as I leave he takes it off and starts to follow me home asking me weird questions like how he can open his car door with out a key and why do I think donut boxes are typically pink..

(dreaming) Palm Springs

Camera around my neck I'm climbing up a cliff of grey boulders rather than taking the road up to a level area above. I'm not the only one going the "hard way" up the mountain and when I finally get to the top there are a number of photographers milling around randomly. An opening in the mountain leads into a tunnel and only a few people are going inside.
I to head in side and and greeted by an older black gentleman for whom I must buy a ticket to go deeper into the cave tunnel. I buy the ticket and he directs me to touch the bare light bulb above for luck. Rather than old up the line I touch the hot bulb and hurry in.
Heading up the passage it leads into an opening where there is an iconic view of the ocean at sunset. There are photographers all standing about taking pictures and having a camera I start to do the same. People keep getting into my way as I try to carefully compose a picture rather than just snap any old picture.
But then as I look at the view I notice something way wrong in the sky, an AC vent! Walking over to the edge of the cliff I reach out and my hand touches a wall. It is nothing but a fake view. All of that work to get here and nothing!
Upset there is an elevator leading up to a restaurant and so I let my camera dangle from my neck and head over that way. I leave all the "photographers" behind to take pictures of the wall that happens to just look like a sunset.

midsummertiger

(dreaming) Rainbow following

Making my way up a mountain trail with my camera I am trying to get the perfect picture of a rainbow. I'm taking pictures along the way as the light warms and glows with the start of a sunset.
Turning a bend I find myself in a set of Town-homes and there is "garden" with iron silhouettes of people. I locate the one with the name Mouse on it and notice there is a room number too. Oddly my silhouette is that of Pan for some reason.
I head into my apartment very confused not knowing that I ever lived here. But to add to this confusion as soon as I enter the apartment I find that a young lady has grabbed me and pulled me into a walk in closet. Naked and on a large pile of clothes I find myself making love to this young lady. This is the part of the dream you want tot last.. but sadly I just woke up.
